A Slither of Sky from Your Window

Across my street, a space between two houses provides a glimpse of blue sky that frames the middle of my day. The golden stone of a new garden wall sticks out against a London brick so grey, it's almost purple. The new wall has been constructed very carefully by a skilled builder but, as many Londoners can attest, an offending brick colour or style can ruin your neighbourhood reputation. My neighbour will forever be known as 'the woman who used the wrong colour brick for her wall'. 

I never see anyone in the windows of those houses, the blinds are always shut and the road in front is slightly too wide to throw a reflection of my own house back at me. 

This original artwork is hand painted with watercolour gouache paint, by Brendon Marczan. It is unique and delicate, requiring professional framing. As the paint covers the paper, edge-to-edge, it is recommended that the artwork be professionally floated inside a frame.
